Ohhh the Joys of Babysitting!

Its the funniest thing to watch two Cousins go at it! Today Riley decided that Hailey's breath stunk and that she needed some gum... Ha! Not really all that funny seeing how my child's life was at stake here! Lol... I had given Riley a string cheese after her nap today to have as a snack and I thought it was so nice of her to share with Cousin Hailey... little did I know... that it wasn't string cheese in their mouths! I had walked in the other room to put something away and as I was walking out I had seen Riley getting into my purse on the floor... after I told her no and to get out of it and to put my papers back in it... and she did what she was told (sorta...)and slowly but surely moved onto another mission... I had then realized that on the way to her next mission she was shoving another peice of gum in Hailey's mouth!!! I was so scared I didn't know what to do or where to begin... I had seen my time sheet for work (that if I dont have I will not get payed for my hours) in one of her hands and the rest of the gum in the other hand! The sad thing was... I was more worried for my time sheet and where the other half went then I was for Hailey or Riley's life!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I was all of a sudden worried about Riley before my own child! Which I found hilarious bc Riley had teeth! Lol... she could AT LEAST chew! :D So I sat Riley in time out after smacking her wondering hands and totally forgot that Hailey was still sitting on the floor, SURROUNDED by gum... not to mention the other peice that she was just so determined to get into her mouth! Haha... but all in all... I scared Riley to death and I don't think she will be sharing with Cousin Hailey anymore!

We went shopping today and Riley and Hailey fell asleep on the way home... I carried them in and they stayed asleep for about 20 minutes and all of a sudden I hear someone screaming ma-ma!!! Riley was wide awake, as was Hailey, and they were just playing in their carseats talking back and forth!

Then I moved them closer so they could hold hands... couldn't quite reach though!


Riley just thought she was oh so funny! (she laughs at herself alot... gets it from Mom I guess!) Haha... Just so you kno Jess... We're not laughing with you! We're laughing at you! Lol... I know.. no throwing people under busses on blogger! :D




-Riley will get down to eye level with Hailey when she is trying to crawl and give her kisses! But when Hailey gets enough smooches she trys to escape... that's when Riley puts her foot down (literally) and says "no no no-NO" and gets back down to eye level with Hailey and keeps dishing out those kisses! Haha
-They love kissing each other... Its something Hailey just learned so its exciting to watch her do it on her own without help!
-Hailey crawled right over to Riley as I was changing her diaper on the floor and started giving her slobbery weeeet kissses! (I grabbed the video camera just in time!)

Hailey's 1st REAL Crawl! :D:D:D

Ohhhh my goodness! Hailey crawled her first REAL crawl Saturday night! It was only a couple of feet but she did it! On all fours! Then last night at our Sunday dinner at Oma and Opa's house she totally crawled from Jessica (in the middle of the living room) all the way to me... well almost (Dad got excited and picked her up before she could actually make it to me!) It was so exciting! Its so cheesy bc as I was cheering her on I got tears in my eyes! I can't believe she is already crawling! So out of excitement I just had to call everybody last night! Im thinking that the chocolate covered bananas and strawberries she had last night gave her enough energy to do it! Lol! Well here is a picture of her crawling all over the place this morning in our living room! Its funny bc she will get lazy and do her army crawl bc shes faster at it then a realy crawls right now!

Hailey's 1st Beach Trip!

Soooo... Hailey's first beach trip was a couple of weeks ago! She had so much fun! Seeing how one of my favorite places to be in the world is the beach... it was pretty exciting for me that Hailey LOVED it! Hailey and Riley (her year and a half old cousin) sat by the shoreline and played in the sand and water. I bought a floaty for Hailey that was a tad bit too big for her and she didn't like it but, Riley had no issues with the freezing cold water, and the crab that was in the water below her, and got right in it and floated all over the beach and back! It was so funny that when I would touch Hailey to move her back so the tide wouldn't swallow her whole she would screetch and get so mad! She just did not want to be touched... she liked her spot where she can be close enough to the water to splash and when the tide went down she was close enough to grab some fresh sand and shove a fist full in her mouth! All in all it was a good trip and one of the many many many we will be taking to the beach this year!

... and someone answer me this... how is it that we were at the beach for 3 hours or so and Hailey did not get sun burned once but a few days later at a soccer game that was only an hour long she got roasted?!?!! Lol.

What a Busy Easter Weekend!!!

So our Easter weekend was just so fun and BUSY! Friday we went riding out at Hodges with the family and some old family friends and it was Hailey's first ride! She was so excited seeing how her cousin Riley who had a little mini quad zoom (slowly) right by her and Hailey would pant like a little dog (her new thing she discovered she could do only without the tongue!) So Aunt Jessica put Hailey on the back of the quad with Riley! Hailey had such a blast! Then on Saturday we had a full day of fun at an Aquarium in San Diego. Hailey wasn't too into the jelly fish and what not but, seeing how she is too young It's quite understandable! She still loved being able to splash the water having no clue what's in the water! :D Haha... After that my brother-in-law and sister-in-law took Drew, Hailey, and I too the San Diego Temple! WOW! Was it big! ... And beautiful! We took a few pictures (which I will post as soon as we get them!) some funny ones and some cute ones! We went home that night and shopped until midnight! It was def a long two days! On top of that we had to get up early for church Sunday and make it to my family late lunch at 2 and Drews family dinner at 5! Yea! Preeeety busy! Huh??!?! Haha... all in all it was fun... and It was a good Easter weekend! I loved seeing family from all ends and even a few friend! I am very greatful for all of my loved ones! Happy late Easter to all! :D
